I click the icon to log in, but nothing happens.

In order to authenticate you, we must have a popup handle some communication between us and your chosen authentication (login) method behind the scenes.  If a popup window fails to appear when selecting your icon to log in, please turn off your popup blocker, and see if that solves the problem.

*Sometimes a popup window may not open in front of the other windows you have opened.  If you click on the icon to log in and the window does not appear, you may want to check that the popup window is not hiding behind another window.

If you are trying to log in at work, please be mindful that most organizations will block sites that they do not want their employees visiting during work hours (Facebook for instance, which some users use for their authentication.) 

Additionally, some organizations control the content that a user's browser can load. 
The inability to log in at work may very well be the intent of the people in charge of your internet access, and you may need to log in at home.
