What is a Universal Health Record?

Last Updated: Mar 24, 2016 01:36PM CDT

FollowMyHealth® (FMH) is what we call a “Universal” Health Record. This means that so long as the provider or medical clinic you are visiting is participating in FollowMyHealth, you can connect to them and access your medical records through FMH anytime, and anywhere you have an internet connection. You can even have one provider on the east coast, and another on the west, and be connected to both in one secure, convenient account!
Depending on the settings at your medical organization(s), you may also be able to message your doctors, request prescription refills, schedule and change appointments, and even pay bills! Check your account to see what functionality has been enabled by your medical organizations.
To see what medical organization(s) you are connected to, click on “My Account” on the top right of the page, and select “My Connections” from the drop-down menu. This page will show you the organizations you have connected to, or have requested a connection to, and the status of your connection. Also you will see all your connected providers.
